Other Ceremonies
Scattering of Ashes Ceremonies
A scattering of ashes ceremony takes place some time after the funeral. It could be in the garden of remembrance at the cemetery, or in a special place to your loved one. Normally these are small and intimate ceremonies, on a smaller scale than a funeral.
I will write a script in accordance with your wishes. This might include a reading or poem, and words about your loved one. It could be an opportunity to include close family or friends, or people who weren’t able to make the funeral, in a final farewell.
If you are thinking of marking a scattering of ashes with a short ceremony, please get in touch.
Memorial Ceremonies
A memorial ceremony is a larger commemorative service for your loved one after the funeral. It can be in any venue you book. Memorial services would typically involve recollections from lots of different people involved in the person’s life, as well as music and readings like a funeral. However, they are not time limited in the same way and can accommodate greater numbers of people.
I can offer support as Master of Ceremonies as well as writing and delivering the memorial service. If you are thinking of planning a memorial service please get in touch
